ABOUT C-CAP
The Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) works with public schools across the nation to prepare students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry. The 17-year-old national nonprofit provides Teacher Training, Scholarships, Cooking Competitions, Job Training and Internships, College and Career Advising, Product and Equipment Donations, and C-CAP Approved certification.

With C-CAP’s help, over 3,635 teachers have expanded their culinary skills and teaching techniques and more than 100,000 students have benefited from enhanced culinary education.

C-CAP manages the largest independent culinary scholarship program in the United States and has awarded over 2,100 scholarships, valued at over $22.2 million, to students to attend culinary schools and universities.

C-CAP has delivered more than $2 million worth of equipment and supplies to under-stocked and under-equipped classrooms in eight locations including New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; Philadelphia; Hampton Roads, VA; Washington, D.C.; and Arizona.

Recipe for Success

C-CAP is a school-to-career program that links public high schools to the foodservice industry. Our comprehensive approach prepares students for a successful education and career.

  • Jobs and internships
    C-CAP provides job readiness training and places students in jobs and internships with local restaurants, hotels and other foodservice establishments.

  • After School Program
    A specially-designed curriculum allows middle and high-school age students to participate in C-CAP after the school day.


  • College and Career Advising
    C-CAP offers long term support to scholarship recipients through financial aid assistance, career building workshops, job referrals and placement.

  • Scholarships
    Through annual competitions, C-CAP provides scholarships that allow students the opportunity to continue their education.

  • Sponsor Donations
    National industry sponsors provide equipment and essential supplies needed to prepare students for culinary careers.

  • Teacher Training
    Innovative training sessions offer teachers the opportunity to master the skills necessary to prepare students for a well-rounded culinary education.

  • Volunteer Industry Professionals
    C-CAP pairs teachers and their students with industry professionals for in-class and work-place demonstrations.
